Our holiday cottage offers superb self-catering accommodation in Inverie, Knoydart, in an idyllic setting looking out over the beautiful waters of Loch Nevis – which means ‘Heaven’ in Gaelic.  The Gathering By The Loch Self Catering is a dream for those who love to cook! Budding chefs will not be disappointed, the kitchen is equipped with everything required to create a banquet, including an extensive spice rack &  oils and all catering wraps, foils and papers are supplied along with plentiful supplies of dishwasher tablets and general cleaning supplies.

Wifi, telephone and TV with ALL sky channels including all sports and movies are available as well as a mighty games chest, handy just incase you fancy a wee day in by the fire.

Whilst outwardly maintaining the appearance of a traditional white painted Knoydart cottage, our holiday cottage is furnished in a comfortable, very high quality, contemporary style and offers accommodation for up to six people in three bedrooms  – one king sized en-suite, one super king/twin bedded room and one twin bedroom. The house sits right on the shore only a two minte walk from the pier and The Old Forge Pub.

You’ll love the spectacular views from the house and garden across Loch Nevis.  You may spot otters along the shore and sometimes even in the village!  Look out too for seals, porpoises, dolphins and whales, depending upon the time of year, and for sea eagles popping over for a day out from Rum.  In the summer, breakfast outside on the sunny south facing deck and later watch a glorious sunset towards the islands of Eigg, Rum and Skye.  For cosy winter days the house has underfloor heating both upstairs and downstairs, and wood-burning stoves in the lounge and the kitchen.

Many visitors describe Knoydart as a magical place.  A remote and unspoilt peninsula on the West Coast of Scotland, the scenery is stunning.  Knoydart is bound by Loch Nevis to the south and the wilderness of Loch Hourn (Gaelic for Hell!)  to the north. To the west lies Skye and the Sound of Sleat.

We are installing a hot tub and outdoor dinning area with BBQ were you can enjoy amazing sea, hill, sunset and full moon views this will be available by early April 2017.
